Hawk’s 100% Electric All Purpose Vehicle.
With a DC60v Battery, Smart Charger, and Brushless motor, the EV50 is the number 1 electric all purpose vehicle in New Zealand. The EV50 has a fantastic range of approx. 80kms at speeds up to 35km/h.
This unique vehicle is extremely versatile. At home on the golf course, resort or retirement village but equally usable around any rural property with it’s fold out rear seats that form a generous carry tray. Perfect if you need to sneak out for a quick round of golf in the morning, then home to get on with the chores for the afternoon. Found to be the most used vehicle on the property for everything from gardening to moving irrigation, fencing, feeding out and all in silence.
HAWK EV50 vehicles use top grade AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries for high efficiency and low maintenance. Our brushless electric motor means reduced maintenance and fewer parts and generates 5.4 HP and will take you to a top speed of around 35 kph. At that speed you need to remain stable, this is achieved with McPherson struts up front and adjustable coilover shocks in the rear and to stop there are hydraulic disc brakes all round. Equipped with the latest in smart charge technology so you can leave it powered on without fear of over charging or cooking the batteries and all managed by a top quality controller that is supplied to numerous companies worldwide.
The EV50 is used overseas and here in New Zealand by municipal authorities and facilities management companies as a first response vehicle utilising purpose made lockable boxes fitted to the rear tray to house medical and fire equipment and is easily changed to use as a vehicle for road side rubbish collection, cleaning and maintenance, spraying and other jobs around city centres, shopping centres and surrounds. The EV50 is available in two models. The EV50RS, as described above, with the rear seat that folds out to a flat carry tray made of aluminium checker plate. You can also attach one of our optional golf bag holders to this model. The EV50TT has the pneumatically assisted tip tray.
All EV50 models come standard with Foldable windscreen, Roll over protection, Roof, LED Lights, Roll up clear back cover, Rear view side mirrors, 12 month warranty.
We recently added an option to the EV50RS and TT being a full rain cover set. This provides total protection from the elements with zip up doors in full clear PVC for unhindered vision.
The full range of colours includes – Pearl White, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, Army Green, Apple Green, Orange, Camouflagfe and Carbon Fibre Black. PLEASE NOTE: some colours may need to be ordered ex factory. We carry most replacement colours in stock however depending on timing, some colours may not be due until next shipment.The full range of covers includes – Pearl White, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, Army Green, Apple Green, Orange, Camouflagfe and Carbon Fibre Black. The EV50TT comes with a pneumatically assisted tilt tray with a carrying capacity of 200kg. For extra carrying capacity, the EV50TT comes standard with a tow bar to tow a small trailer, horse arena rake, topping mower, wood splitter etc. This is the perfect vehicle for large property maintenance, lifestyle blocks, municipal authorities and the like. Easily transport two people with plenty of room for tools & equipment.

With a DC60v Battery, Smart Charger, and Brushless motor. The EV50 has a fantastic range of up to 80kms (depenent on driving style and terrain) at speeds up to 35km/h.
This unique vehicle was designed in New Zealand for the Orchard market to enable easy unobstructed access under kiwifruit canopies and general fruit tree orchards. The high roof and standard roll over protection have been replaced with a shoulder height roll over bar. The suspension has been lowered and smaller wheels fitted to give it a seat height off the ground of just 720mm.Easy walk through access with its bench seat makes on and off work quick and simple. A large steel carry basket has been added to the front for extra carrying capacity.
